Hi,

the new icon should also be displayed on "edited" topics. This could be an option in the admin center to turn it on or off

or an 'edited' icon... word is probably too large... what about 'edit'...!?

Nice idea...

I would definitely love this feature!  I've been wanting something like this for ages and kept forgetting!  :P

LostProphecy

would love this as well.... is this meant for the thread view the little "new" icon appearing again... or do you mean actually on the post itself...

it would be very useful for announcement threads that get edited all the time instead of having to put "(updated)" in the thread subject

as far as I know it's always done this (but it just says 'New' not edited ;))

So the feature request is already fulfilled, at least the way you wrote in the 1st post:

Thanks!  This must be a new feature, because I know YaBB SE never had it.

how about changing the backgroundcolour of the new icon

green - new edit
yellow - new reply and new edit
red - new reply

problem with that is it may not suit everyone's board colour scheme...

I think,

new reply - shows 'new' button.
new edit - shows 'edit' button.
new reply and new edit shows 'new' button.
