Greetings.

My site is www.36thid.info

The other day it started to get real slow.  So I took a bunch of stuff of and it has not improved.  Next I went into the data base and deleted all old strings that are from previous mods to make sure.  I even took off a few other mods and still it  crawls.

I use godaddy on a shared Linux provider.

Can anyone help as to what should I start looking to do to increase my speed?

I have installed:

Did you try the forum maintenance in the admin control panel to see if that helps?

yes, first I went into maintenance and cleaned everything up. still slow.

So I am thinking being I have some pretty big mods on it, that might be why.  So I was wondering can you have one database for tp, one for gallery and one for arcade?

I have re- enabled the page time and it says; Page created in 5.199 seconds . before it was only n 0.172 seconds

dkharp

and now: Page created in 7.126 seconds with 34 querie

No, Except I have taken a few tp blocks off that were rss feeds from the slowdown. I also have 80 tables in my data base.

sAce

could you  please list you "big" mods,

cause i are not aware of any 'big" mod that cause performance issues, of course there will be extra queries, but not much of an performance issue with them

dkharp

It must be my provider. It is fast then slow. Guess I need to c/o

Please check out: README: Checklist for performance problems
Could you eventually upload status.php and link it?
To-do lists are for deferral. The more things you write down the later they're done... until you have 100s of lists of things you don't do.

Shortcutting things, that's your problem there. Do a search in this board, you'll find tons of complaints. GoDaddy's shared hosting is awful and their servers are packed really tightly, which slows down everyone's site.
