Country Flags (three part question)

1) Is there a way of showing what country all registered members are from by showing their country flag?

2) Is there a way of showing stats Like:

International members:
Sweden   123
USA          234
Germany   012
Russia      078

3) If either of the two are possible how are they implemented?

This would be a great feature for an international board. Any info is appreciated.

Well.. the first one I ported over a mod from YaBBSE for but never released it and dropped it at Beta 3 I think. It was a port of Mach8/aquilos mod for YaBBSE. They had a great MOD which would change the location field to a drop down with flags for every nation. It then displayed your flag on the thread display. I could post a zip file with code for Beta 3 but someone would need to port it accross - I don't have time.

The second would be fairly easy if you installed the above MOD as it would give users a "choice" of nations, not a text box so it would be easier to ensure US and U.S.A and USA don't all appear Would still need someone to MOD it for you.

That's great news. How do I go about doing this.

I'm really new to all this so do you know of someone I could ask to help me with this.
I would love to have this on my board.
I can't afford much but I would be willing to pay to get this done if necessary.

Well, firstly I'll post the old MOD here... (attached).

Now you have the mod file and the images... so that's a start. (Hopefully aquilo won't mind!). Hopefully one of the mod developers or someone wanting to start out will see this thread and have a go! It really is only about 30 mins work I'm guessing, and normally I'd happily do it but I'm tied up with some other work at the moment so I can't help you there I'm afraid

So did you get that mod figured out?  I'd love to display another micro "avatar" that is NOT user selected that is a flag of their country.  Can that be generated by the forum from the user's IP address?  This way users can't be "funny" and say that they are from another country.

I'm VERY interested in this mod!

Please let me know.  Since this is an older post, has there been any other mods? 
(I'm not interest in the one that is like a frappr map)
