What would I need to tweak to make it work on mysql 4.0.16? Unfortunately my host does not allow the user to upgrade the mysql server.

Firstly I would ask your host to upgrade. :)
Failing that you can download a different Blog.php file which should fix the problem, but I would ask about them doing an upgrade first.

Bigguy

It has not slowed mine down at all. I don't think it is that big of a mod that it would cause ANY slow down.

This is a very big mod from what I see. Slows down my server a little.

Well my host replied by saying they won't update they're server for at least a couple of months. I tried the other blog.php on your site and when I tried to make a blog post nothing happened.

Now it's working. Thanks for helping. :)

Oh... This is probably better than my blog mod... I just haven't had any time at all to work on mine :(.

Although, I guess we took a different approach. My approach was to use a minimal amount of code, and was more of a demonstration of what can be done with SSI. Mine is still in beta, and I am planning more updates for it :).

both mods are very nice, and suit very different types of uses.

Well, I have a finally reached a point for people to view the blog. I have some things I will still want to work on, look wise and a few other things....just to keep me happy. But I will not be adding any new features for now, I will however be working on some add-ons for it as well as a convertor for Simple Blog, manual install instructions and the mod package and I will be requiring some Beta testers once I am happy that everything is working on the site.

Other than that please feel free to register and test it out.

I notice this error in your package-info.xml file for SMFBlogger_1.1_RC_1a
Lainaa<require-dir name="Themes" destination="$boarddir" />
                <require-dir name="Sources" destination="$boarddir" />

This causes three files not being installed which are:
1. Blog.php into /Sources/
2. Blog.template.php into /Themes/default/
3. Blog.english.php into /Themes/default/language/

I have edited the file as below and attached it in my post at your site for your repackaging and other people's benefits.
Lainaa<require-dir name="Themes" destination="$themedir" />
                <require-dir name="Sources" destination="$sourcedir" />

Also attached the repackaged one.

I installed the mod...but where do I even activate it?

fuelthescene

I got the mod working but I can't get the Recent Blogs sidebar thing to come up.  How do I activate this?
