SMF bridge + joomla

I have installed latest bridge to the !joomla 1.0.12. The normal install didnt go well so I had to install it manually:

Manual install from joomla component installer (Pointing to smf.xml). Reports that he install went fine. Then I copy all the files to the component directory and and chmod them to 777. Now I go from components menu to SMF and try to click any of three existing links:
- Install
- Configure
- About

But as I klick em, it gives me nothing tho joomla reports that the bridge is installed.

Any ideas how to get this to work? Any help is much appreciated...

You need to install SMF before installing the bridge.
