This is what my Dutch (sorry  :) ) forum shows when I try to install using the quick-upgrade from within the management-screens:

Any idea what I can do to fix it? 1.1.1 was fresh installed, no mods.

One thing you should ALWAYS DO is make sure you are set on the default theme before you install anything in the forum. Including Update, themes, and mods. See if that helps.

Thanks for the reply IchBin, but that didn't help either. I managed to upgrade without any errors by using the manually downloaded upgrade file though.

For Nighthorse:
First upload all the files in the upgrade-zipfile to your board, download any new language packs you may need, upload them to your board as well and THEN start the upgrade.php. Worked for me.

You can bypass this error by going into the packages area in admin then Options on tab to right

Set cleanup to "all files are writable" then press "change file permissions"

Fill out your ftp details then when it does it and run the update patch it should go without your errors.

After it updates you can go back to the package manager and to options and pick "Only the standard files are writable." and press "change file permissions"

Your board should be updated and back to normal chmods :)

Did the above manage to help you get this sorted?
