Problem with boardmod

I've just installed BoardMod and I tryed to install my frist mod.

I pasted the file .mod in the correct carpet of the BoardMod and them I download my forum from the ftp until my computer and I selected the file "index.php".

After that when I selected the mod I pasted in the BoardMod's carpet, I read this error:

Step 1 ... failed - ERR(2): Could not find file to edit (C:\Documents and
Settings\Administrador\Escritorio\forum\$boarddir\Themes\default\Display.template.php)

Step 2 ... failed - ERR(2): Could not find file to edit (C:\Documents and
Settings\Administrador\Escritorio\forum\$boarddir\Themes\default\Display.template.php)

however, this files are in "themes" but I don't know what is \$boarddir\
What's the problem?

and other question, if I modifiy the files in my computer then, what files I'll have to upload again to the FTP??
