I don't know if it's cause the db is SOOOOO much smaller now, but this sucker flies!

There's an obvious speed difference that I'm hoping is related to the coding.

I'm very excited for the future of this package.

Much faster isn't it? :) Unknown did a lot of work on optimizing things.

It is related to the coding.  This package is at least 30% faster than YSE 1.5x is (according to the great sage, [Unknown]).

WELL... David did optimize this server... but it's still faster ;).

Reduced queries a lot, for one thing... biggest change was putting in the new template/theme system... SOO much faster than the old... :P.

Great job folks! it's working much faster now, even on my 33600 modem connection. Just anxious to see when it will be available for downloading.

*whistling* row-level locking. better for high traffic sites. selects up to 25% faster than myisam. inserts usually around 25% faster. less resources used. smallest imprint in processor of any RDBMS *whistling*

So write the code Groundup  :P

Actually he did.  It doesn't require too much in the way of code modification, and it seems auto increment works with innodb.. just a few column type changes...

Bah.  If you're willing to try it, I'm willing to backup the database... I have been anyway ;).
