Hi everyone,
i have problems that quoting and previewing when quick-reply enabled is not working. Loading screen of ajax_in_progress-thing is coming on top of the page, but nothing happens.  For one month, I was not able to catch a clue about the problem.

Firefox Error Console gives me such errors:
1.Error: xml declaration not at start of external entity
Source File: http://www.gunduzgece.com/index.php?action=quotefast;quote=125204;sesc=(bla bla bla);xml
Line: 3, Column: 1
Source Code:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="iso-8859-9"?>^

2.Error: XMLDoc.getElementsByTagName("quote")[0] has no properties
Source File: http://www.gunduzgece.com/Themes/default/xml_topic.js
Line: 29

tried re-uploading the js and display.template.php files...
Pls help, this error makes me nervous for a month... Any suggestions will be welcome  :-\   ???

Could you make sure that this happends on the default theme.

goitalone

I am getting the same error now too...it must be something I edited wrong accidentally I think.

I am having a problem where Fetching Preview doesn't work unless you preview it in the quick reply area and also, I get a big red LOADING thing if I use the back button of some pages and it sticks there like glue on my page as I scroll up and down.

Anyone have any ideas?

Sorry for posting in in old thread, but i need this resolved.

Make sure that all your .js files are up to date in the /Themes/default directory.

Yes from the 1.1.3 download.  Also are you getting this with the default theme?

OK, I just tried that and it didn't help.

Yes, getting from default theme..I am not sure when this problem started, but I know it worked not too long ago.

I recently upgraded to 1.1.3 and figured that might be why...other than that only thing I can think of is that either I screw up some code somewhere.

JayBachatero

Can you PM me a test account so that I can take a closer look at the issue?

JayBachatero helped me locate it what the actual problem was...I just hadn't noticed the white at the top of my source.

It was that darn Modifications.english.php ;)  it had white space at the bottom.

Silly Mods!

Thanks again Jay!

pheadrus

Nothing has been changed when i remove the white spaces of modification.english.php (+...turkish.php)  and this ajax-thing also not working in default, even if i had changed the .js files with files in install-package  :(

JayBachatero

You still have a line break left in one of the files.  Look at the html output and you will see a line before the <DOCTYPE declaration.

i do not see any line break both in modifications.english.php or index.template.php. Also, checked with Notepad++ :(

goitalone

it could be anywhere dude...keep looking in diff files

check:

index.php (the main one)
Sources/Load.php
Themes/themename/index.template.php (search for <Doctype)
All Language files
Settings.php & Settings_bak.php

Theres probably more but i'm tired :P

Remember white space was on the bottom of modsettings...yers may be on the bottom too.

Make sure you check top and bottom of each file you search for the white space!
