i have a problem and i wonder if anyone could help..

im running version 1.1.1 on my website .. and im using arabic-utf-8.. when the subject of a topic is longer than 50 chars it replaces the last few chars with symbols and when i click on the title to view the topic i get a blank page.. i know i can limit the length of the title to 50 and the problem goes.. but sometimes i need to have long topic titles... does anyone know how to solve it?
thank you.

I have the same problem with my Chinese language forum. I can't believe that SMF doesn't has title length limitation in the backend configuration. What a stupid design !

baijianpeng:  Instead of giving destructive criticism, why not suggest a fix, and if you can't (because many people cant code and thats fine) make a suggestion instead of a criticism.  People will be much more receptive of working things out with you if you give them that respect at least.

Many of us team members contribute to SMF out of the formation of a bond or a want to see the project succeed, and as such, may be offended if it is insulted.

An ounce of being constructive and willing to work with others really goes a long way.

Regardless, thank you for you suggestion/comment :)

Likewise with your other topic of similar nature, If you'd give ideas and suggestions positively, i think you'd find that you would have a much better experience here.  We are all one community and although little clashes with staff can happen i think if handled constructively it could positively influence the future of SMF.

Thanks for your time in reading

as for the problem, i will ask someone to take a look at this topic :)  Thanks.
