About User id

I want to make little request to improve the membership system.

If a member is deleted or deletes himself / herself , the ID of that member becomes 0 in all tables, including the messages.

But, I think, it is better not to change the ID.

If the ID remains there, it will be very easy to recover the member.

The member may delete himself by mistake. If the ID does not change to 0, it will be very easy and very quick to recover that member.

When the deleted member re-registers, I can adjust the number from the database and give his old messages to new member (new member will be the old member, but using a different ID)

I said messages but, I want to give all his privileges, all PMs and what he has done to the forum in his previous membership.

I hope this is a clear explanation. If you want, I will give an example.

I have a mod where the deleted members(by themselves or admin) are not really deleted and you can restore accounts.
However it doesn't restores PM's and it still needs polishing.
If this doesn't makes it into SMF 2, then I will release the mod when SMF 2 comes out.
Sorry but I don't think I can make it sooner, and I won't release complex mods for the current release anymore.
I'm working on other projects and try to focus on the next version.
