A litle tip to convert phpBB

Hi,

I'm reading all topics and I have three questions before converting:
- can we convert the same topic ID struture? And mantain the viewtopic.php (if it dont change on SMF)? Because I see "index.php?topic..." on the SMF and the Google have indexed many pages with viewtopic.php
- we need to install a new SMF forum and then move all using the SQL and PHP files?
- I''ve the points mod on phpBB, a system that allow you to get points when you post. Can I:
1) recovery the points when I convert to SMF?
2) or use another custumization like this one?

- If the SMF have a points mod - a MOD that add points when someone post a messege or a reply

Save the database pre-change too.
There is an affiliate mod and a shop mod. Try those?

Just to answer the second question, you need to install an "empty" SMF before you convert.

phpBB isnt suitable anymore, so, I guess I need another CMS.
I've made some tests allready with a fresh SMF, I will try soon the converters.

Anyway, the points from your actual system will probably be gone...

Maybe you should try also TP, since you are using a portal
