Welcome Topic

A request for this mod.  For the post to be done in the poster's name so they can edit it.  This mod is perfect for using as an application system with a predefined form.  I just need the user to have the ability to edit in their info.

And some way to get the member to actually read it would be nice

hi when i go to either delete or edit a topic i made i get this error

GET to /index.php not supported.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

i can add topics fine but cant edit or delete on 3 forums i am using core theme and 1.1.11

I got only one problem. I use email activation for my forum but I end up the mod issuing the welcome post on SimplePortal Homepage (though it is not appearing on my forum) before the user activates his registration.

Contact your host to disable mod_security on your site.

When a new member joins it is making out three welcome topics, two in his name and just another without a name.

How many actual welcome notices do you have created (in settings)

Yes I am using Welcome Topic Mod      2.0.3 . The problem seem to come in when I noticed my one version was telling me to upgrade and I ran it from the Admin CP and since then I have been having this issue. I un-installed it deleted the package uploaded 2.0.3 installed and the issue was back again

I would try uninstalling then signuping a new person and see if it sill posts the welcome message! If it does there is still code left around that will need to be manually uninstalled.

Ok... Now I understand why... I think I must manually check for the left code and clean it up...

Ok if I uninstall it completely it still make one post for a new members

Ok so if the welcome topic mod is no longer installed then an old version must still be present.

Run the parser on the mod site for the welcome topic mod and find and revert all the edits that the mod does.

Might  have failed at one point during an uninstall which left code behind.

Well I have not been able to get around to looking for any code that was left behind as of now

When a new person registers it's not counting the posts. Or showing new topic but it's creating a new topic.
