I install Welcome topic mod and customize  but it is not working, some screenshots are there,plz help,i i register some members but

I'm still not convinced you're entering the right value into the "Poster Name" field, even though you said you've tried it.

I believe it should be a name, not a link.

Good catch! yeah postname should be a membername.
And if using SMF 2.0 the tag is [username] and not {username}

Both those have been pointed out previously and the response was along the lines of "tried that".

[username] for me as well.
The posting isn't a problem, and it does insert the name correctly - it just posts two of the same post for each new member.

Check in the code added by the mod on your forum if something is added twice.
