How do I enable email verification?

I just did a clean install of SMF 1.1.2 and it seems to be working (including being able to send out messages).  The only problem I see is that new users are immediately enabled and I CANNOT find where you enable registration email verification.

How do I turn it on?

At your adminis panel-registration-settings. There you have the option that you are looking for. Hope this helps

Go to you SMF Administration (index.php?action=admin)
Click on Registration under Members (index.php?action=regcenter)
Then click Settings (index.php?action=regcenter;sa=settings)

And for Method of registration employed for new members : choose Member Activation

• When this option is enabled any members registering to the forum will have a activation link emailed to them which they must click before they can become full members
