Hello. Thanks for your efforts here. :)

Where do I go now find old posts and threads in the recylce bin? I am not aware of this recycle bin. I want to see these before deciding on whether to install this mod.

What is the benefit to clean out the recycle bin?

This mod will not remove threads or posts before I delete them will it?

Thanks for any information.

To using recyle bin, you need to set it up.
- Create a board, name it what you like (recycle bin, trash, junkyard...)
- Set access to administrators (you might want moderators too) in "Allowed Groups" options.
- Then "Admin \ Boards \ Settings"
- - "Enable recycling of deleted topics"
- - Select newly created board within "Board for recycled topics" listbox.

This mod helps to keep your database clean, and increase overall performance of your site. If your board doesn't having thousand of posts to delete, no need to use this mod.

This mod having control only within Recycle Bin, not outside.

P.S: nice kitty.

any chance to have this genius mode for SMF 2 (RC3), it would have a lot of impact on database backups, especially for large forums.

Use the Auto Purge Old Topics mod, simply setting it to point to your recycle bin and have it run on anything 1 day or more old.

This mod sounds great.
It is possible delete the posts in batch for example 1000 posts?
My Bin has 530 000 posts.
