limit number of new topics per user

Dear all,

Is there a way to limit number of new topics that a user can post per day.

in my forum I am getting users that are adding lots of topics every day and nobody is replying or reading.

I think that is the best way to do that.

this mod is good but can it be to limit the number of topics per day not posts per day.

and for each member group not each member?

Perhaps asking the mod author (in the thread created for that mod) will result in them having an idea as to how to accomplish it. I really am not sure how one would manage that.
