Can you please add an easy way to pm a group of members. Maybe add it to the permissions list (so guests, default members cant do it) and just be able to add the member group name into the to box.

Hope that makes sense ive been up all night.

I would love to see this in the future. But do you mean for every member to contact that membergroup?

Mods and Admin should be able to though using the new letter function.

Admin >> News and Newletters >> Newsletters >> Send this to these groups using personal messages

Could be useful in some situations.

Though I could also see myself quitting some forums that I post as admins see fit to 'spam' me with newletters and monthly updates junk.
(IMO, Just because you register on a site, doesnt give the owner the right to email or pm me unless absolutely necessary)

Ahh, that is exactly what i was looking for. I run a mod with alot of developers and i needed to contact them all. It would be still a nice feature to have this for pms as well though.

Fill in, click the checkbox at the bottom:
'Send this to these groups using personal messages.'

or do you mean for members to be able to do it.

Well i would like to have this for admins (and a couple of membergroups) and be able to do it through the pm system by just typing the member group name in as a to address.

Admin and certain membergroups can. News and Newsletters >> Newsletter >> Select membrgroups and you can set the newsletter feature for diffrent groups.

please, there is no need to get snappy, shadow82x is only trying to help.

After taking a look at key files and such i've determined that this is above me.  I would fully reccommend making a mod request in Mod Requests and see if anyone is willing to code something of similar for your use.

In the mean time however, you can give the other membergroups the permission to send newsletters by going to Admin > News and Newsletters > Settings, and selecting the groups you want to be able to send them under 'Groups allowed to send out forum newsletters:'
