Just had this 'brainwave',  don't know if it exists yet.

Would it be possible to automatically send a notification to Admin if certain word(s) in a message were being used by members.

Like a censored list, an Admin could insert and modify words (or phrases) in a 'report list', like e.g. "dead, "kill" etc. and then if these words were used in a message the Admin would be notified.

This would be an excelent feature.

At the moment we could really do with such a feature with regards to this http://football.guardian.co.uk/News_Story/0,1563,1053827,00.html

Would be one of the best feature in the board I think..

Yeah I agree this deserves a place in standard install

I dunno if standard...I most likely wouldn't use it. Would be a really easy mod, though. Just one more action added to the censored words check. ;)

The sensored word check happens when the page is generated, the word is not changed in the database, so you would get an email everytime the post is viewed unless you had code to prevent that.

it'd be fine if it was checked when it posts... part of the posting function, if a rude word is detected the email is dispatched, then its irrelevant of the load function.
