A button in posts for members to click when spam.

Set in adminarea

X clicks = move post to 'This forum' for review by moderator

Let all members have this option, or a special group. Individually be able to don't let a user who have missused the function use it anymore.

And only 1 click per user possible.

Wouldnt you need to move the 'whole topic'?

Moving a post that was 21st in a topic?

Secondly is there a reason why report to moderator wouldnt work.  Especially if combined with the 'Reports get posted as topics' mod

Well its more for the big boards. Since it can get crowded with spam in notime.

But I agree it maybe needs some more thinking

The idea wasn't even mine But I thought it would be somewhat useful for those with few moderators and many posters. Since a dirty forum quickly can make people lose interest.

If well thought out, it could be useful.

I think we may be better waiting for SMF 2.0 as it will have admin approval of posts.

So we could probably hack/mod that so that when a post as been marked as spam X times.  It will then be hidden until an admin or mod approves it.
