Wait before telling me that there is a Tagging System mod.

I recently found a forum with a really good feature. They call it a "thread filter". Take a look here please.

Could the SMF team do something like it for SMF 2.0?

I too would like to the ability to show only topics with posts from the last x (days|months|years)
I'm not too sure about just showing threads marked 'funny'

As for integration, I doubt it will make it into 2.0A. Even then it may be best as a modification.

It would be good if we could create our own rating system. This would be useful in a videogame related forum, for example, to filter the topics from each console.

Hmmm i made something like that for my forum with the help of the icons .

If you like to try it i can post the code for this here . (It's not perfect but for my forum good enough, and not the fastest (depend on how old the newest thread for this icon is).)

Well, you could combine the tag system with buttons that would search for [TAGNAME] in the topic, or put that in a dropdown menu. That might work for what you're looking for.
