I dont know if this has been suggested or if it will be in the next version but here it goes.

You know how on your computer if you mess something up bad and you need to undo what you did? So you go to System tools then System restore and you choose how far back you want to go. Why not have this with SMF? Just go to admin > Forum Maintenence and Forum Restore and you can upload your .sql backup file there or choose a restore point. I dont think some people realize that the forum makes an .sql backup whenever you install a new mod or something and you can get it back by going into attachments or something. Well why not utilize it by being able to choose from a menu or calendar how far back you want to do, choose it click proceed and in a minute or two it gets returned to its former glory!

So what do you think? :D

Like it's not hard to go to phpMyAdmin and upload it...:P But this would be easier rather than going to phpMyAdmin.

Yeah. I know you can do that but for people that dont know how to use phpmyadmin(probably a lot know how) but just its a lot easier to do it right from the forums. Lots of CMS's and I think some forums might have it that way so why not SMF :D just one more thing to make SMF easier to use.

Well either way it would still be a good idea to have this so it is easy to back up lots of CMS's and other things have an option like this ;)

If the admin panel is broken, THEN you use phpmyadmin or just curl up in a corner and cry.

Or, you could upload a file via FTP called admin_debug.php  maybe?
