Missing Posts & Stats after Conversion

I have been trying to install SMF 1.1.3 for the last several days and could never reach the end of the conversion process as I could not make it past the "Polls conversion"

I pretty much gave up at that point and decided to discard 3 years worth of posts just to get these new forums up and running (I love this software) and I found these issues that I really hope you can help me with.

1. The good news is that the boards and topics did get transfered.  I trimmed down a few of the old boards and created some new ones as well.

2. OK...I made a post in one of the boards that was "Converted" and at that time the entire first page became full with posts from the old boards.  This was great until I realised 2 things.
  A) All you could see were posts from page 1...pages 2 and beyond don't "exist"
  B) If I deleted thread then all of the threads dissapear as well
  C) Even though you can see the threads they are not reflected in the forum stats.

3.  All of my forum members were imported but they do not show up in the forum stats. (Right now we show 2 members, but we have 68).  The member list shows them, just not the stats.

So.......

* I would really like to be able to recover these old threads...is there some way to do that?

* Can I have the forum stats update to show the correct number of thread (and other stats)?

* Can I correct the member stats?

Thanks so much for your help...I am at wits end here and do not know if I should just give up and dissapiont all my forum members by stating fresh or if there is a way to resolve this.

Go to Admin -> Forum maintinance
And click Find and repair errors.
It may take a while but it should find all those lost posts. It looks like the topics themselves just didn't get converted but the messages (ie posts) did

Wow!!  Thanks!  I did not get through the repair process...I only made it to 12% or something like that but I also ran a recount of the stats...something in there recovered all the lost posts and member stats!  Thanks for helping ot fix that!
