bro u mod is good but ur not getting my point... in vbulliten forum their is mod like u only difference is we can edit what we want to and can put ads code by doing this it boost ur earning through ads as u can understand if a forum has page pay view over 20000 it means they get over 30000 views through ur mod pls help me in this i will wait for ur reply

karlbenson

I've just done a search.
Are you talking about the 'Active Link Security' Mod for Vbulletin?
http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=68614

If thats the one you are referring to, that is NOT the same as this mod.

This mod anonymises all links (so the link you goto never knew the full url OR even the domain which you came from)

The 'Active Link Security mod' does NOT anonymise.  It only forces all links to be routed through an intersticial page.
(So the http referer is your domain or a certain page, but never the topic which it came from).

tonzi

yes in vb you could actually costumized it. i think they are using  [DS]Redirect V 1.01b

karlbenson

Have you got a link? (I couldnt find it with a google or vbulletin search)

I'm pretty certain that as I said above its not an anonymising mod.

tonzi

uhmm its an anonym i guess bcoz it says it all on the web address .
that website is using that type of anonym. which does the vbulettin usually use.

http://www.nyakerz.org/forum/anonym/?http://rapidshare.com

karlbenson

Nope, it doesnt anonymise the http referer.

Instead of http://www.nyakerz.org/forum/showthread.php?goto=newpost&t=55105
http://ww.nyakerz.org/forum/ is passed by the http referer.

So the the site you goto won't know the specific topic/thread which you have come.  But the will know the domain.
(and it wouldn't be that hard to track it back using a search function.)

karlbenson

I've just uploaded v1.2

By request I've added an option to choose referer (specifically anonym.to or de-referer.com or random)

If you desire any other http referer anonymisers to be added. Please post them here and I'll add them.

tonzi

o i see, cool i think de-ferrer.com is way better than that anonym.to bcoz it is in english terms.
the only thing is it sorta takes time to redirect, like 8 seconds eh

kingofmasala

bro all is same as vb u make but difference is in ur mod we are not able to customize by our self u make this mod as we can customize it and use it as we like this will be a great favour to all of us

karlbenson

@ Tonzi - 8 Seconds?  Thats strange.  Its only 1 or 2 seconds for me. (and looking at the source code, the meta refresh is set to 2)
Quote<meta http-equiv="refresh" content="2; </code>

@ kingofmasala.  - As I've said - The are NOT the same.  This is anonymiser, the other just puts the link through an internal redirect page.

slackerpunk

would it be possible to have an option to set to which Board/Forum to enable this mod

because I don't really need to have it enabled within the whole site there are just parts of my forums that I want the links to be anonymous. Thanks

karlbenson

I'll try in future. However for the moment I'm snowed under with mods for the next month or so.

Hi - i've got some errors with v1.1 and smf 1.1.3:

First Error:
8: Undefined index: host
Datei: /web/forum/Sources/Subs.php
Zeile: 2558

My Line 2558:
$parsed = $temp['host'];
I saw your comment on top of the codepart - I'm using php5.

Second Error:

8: Undefined offset: -1
Datei: /web/forum/Sources/Subs.php
Zeile: 2573

My Line 2573 reads like this:
if(!$modSettings['anonymsubdomainlinks']) {

'Anonym.to YOUR subdomain links?' isnt activated.

karlbenson

1) Does it have a link to the topic where that error occured?
If so it could be a malformed link.  If you could link me to the topic or paste the links in that topic here so I can have a look and then work around it.

2)try enabling subdomain links, saving it, then disabling it again.

I looked a bit further:

This error seems only to happen to a certain usergroup which click on a 'NOT-public-viewable'-Board.

The Strange thing is, that it happens while entering these type of boards.

http://forum.site.com/index.php?dummy=2&amp;amp;amp;amp;board=13.0
8: Undefined offset: -1
Datei: /web/forum/Sources/Subs.php
Zeile: 2576

http://forum.site.com/index.php?dummy=2&amp;amp;amp;amp;board=13.0
8: Undefined index: host
Datei: /web/forum/Sources/Subs.php
Zeile: 2558

Both errors appear exactly the same click.

i did, doesnt seem to work.

karlbenson

Sorry allmassive I forgot about this post.

So its not happening on topics, just the messageindex (topic lists)?
Are there any links in those topics? That could possibly be malformed?  If so can you post them to me, or pm if you want to keep them private. I need to know the exact link which is throwing the error up.
Eg is there is a link in one of those posts which is http://mysite.mysite.mysite.com.mysite.com.mysite/wrong

karlbenson

General announcement.

I've just added v1.3 of this mod to the mod area.
Although there is no need to upgrade.

Basically it ONLY adds
English-UTF8 support
And brazilian (including UTF-8) support (courtesy of TCkBM)
