Ignore categories and/or boards?

it wolud be nice when there be mod which can obtain possibility for users to put some boards which they won't to read in some kind of ignore list and posts from that boards/categories won't show in "your posts from last visit".
i know some serbian forums which has that option but they are not smf forums.

This is a feature in SMF 2.0. You can in fact try it out here on this forum by going to your profile and on the side menu selecting "Ignore Boards Options."

There is also a similar mod for this for 1.1 - http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=137. While it was designed for a much older version of SMF 1.1, some reports from the mod's support topic seem to indicate it still works in the more recent versions of SMF.

Well I haven't tested it personally, but as I said some people seemed to have some success with it working.

A flawless instalation in a SMF 1.1.2 that has many mods, like: ShowTopics, Board Notes, SMF Staff Page, Custom Profile Field Mod, View Only Boards, Global Announcements, Ignore user, Minimum Characters/Words Per Post, Group Moderators.

I didn't have to change anything, just the modifications for my language (romanian).

Usually it should be safe to at least try to apply the mod, and if there are no file edit errors, chances are it will work fine on your forum. If there are any errors however, do not install it.

I am using it on 1.1.3

I have found that with mods you have to make a list of what will go on top of what.  I have a list of mods that will work if they are installed in a certain order and wont work if installed in the wrong order.

Takes some time to figure it all out but if you can find the way with the least amount of failures then it doesnt take much manual work to get everything to install.

hm, but i persume that files of smf 1.1 and smf 1.1.3 are much different for manual installing this mod especially if there is lot of previosly install mods.
