Help With Forum Images!

I was customizing my forum images to something different and noticed that whenever i posted a message on the forums it didnt change the pic saying its a new post!  So i changed them back by getting the URL for the images through my other forums and now they still will not change colors to show that i have a new post or not!
I need help!

Hmm.. You posted the message, so it is no longer new to you. Try to login with another account to see if the "new" image appears.
