Allowed characters in user id

Are "á é í ó ú" considered as special characters and so they shouldn´t be used as user identification by SMF?

The thing is that I don´t know why it takes so much time showing the profile of users with those characters in both user id and display name.

These characters shouldn't cause a problem with SMF.

If possible please post a link to two user profiles on your site (one with some of these characters and one without).

SMF Version?

Theme?

Mods installed?

Are you using UTF-8? (UTF-8 Readme)

Well the strange thing is that after 3 days working slow, now it works ok.

The version is SMF 1.1.4, Custom theme from old Electron 1.1.1, without mods, without UTF-8, and no errors associated with that in the log.
