I am a admin of the local forum which is run by smf1.1.3.
I tried to update smf with new mod  board news. It shows it not supported so i uninstall and delete that mod from forum. Now I cant logon or open smf from my website.

How can I rectify this problem. My knowledge about these things are very limited..please help. :-[ :(

I don't like the fact how you contacted me via PM to help you but..

Do you have any other mods installed?

I am sorry if I hurt you.

Thanks for you quick response.

I installed some usefull mods from smf all are supported to smf 1.1.3 version. Its working better till i installed board news mod.
No idea. how to deal with this problem.

I suggest downloading a fresh copy of SMF and reuploading /sources/subs-boardnews.php via FTP so it's a clean file. (overwriting)

There is more than 10,000 posts and 100 active members, did reinstalling it will delete these posts and member?

shadow82x

That should hopefully allow you to login. ;) Report back.

No any FTP file does not contain that information. That information is stored in the MYSQL database. So no it does not effect it.

Just seems like that mod did something to the file. Anyway I'm glad I could help.

Glad it worked for you :)

If any mods installed to that file other than that one, you will need to manually reinstall them.
