Shoutcast SMF Topic Mod???

I am looking for a MOD  similar to the one used on DI.FM.  This MOD would check the currently playing song on my shoutcast stream and then Create a Topic with the said Artist - Title, It will need to also write to a DB so duplicate topics will not be created. This will allow my listeners to comment and discuss the music that is currently playing.  If anyone has a mod like this for SMF please PM Me.

how long does your music play for, that ppl would have time to start discussing it while playing...wouldnt it become old news pretty quick?

Not really, I would look at DI.fm [nofollow]'s boards to see what im talking about.

how 'bout you have having a topic for the playlist or something?

We've tried that, and ran in to it creating duplicate entries.

a better interface would be to simply display the song NOW PLAYING with a link to comment on it, then (and only then) would a new post/topic be created. If you are code savvy, you would want to look at the DISCUSS THIS mods (a 10 page or so thread)

Hmm I dont know much about the Bridge that discussbot uses. Frankly im confused with the post about discussbot. I use TinyPortal for my website.
