Hello Forum
i´m doing an internship in a german multimedia company, and my first task is to compare forum systems such as SMF at around 70 criteriums. In checking out hxxp:forummatrix.org [nonactive] and surfing through this forum I get a lot of informations. But there are still several(admitted sometimes mindless) points left. It would be really nice, if anyone can help me with this facts:

possibilty of

- sorting the threads(for example on this page http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?board=1.0) after: subject, hits, replies, started by, last answerd by, starting date)
- printing a subject/threadlist
- add a topic to favourites
- API for control from outside-> user should be able to add their forums to a favouriteforum list
- evaluate answers/threads(maybe from helpful... not helpful)
- integration of an existing usermanagement
- proposing a new forum, just per one click-> input mask-> moderator get´s an e-mail(probably not possible, for real no one needs this but they wanted to know:-) )

just put a +(possible) ; -(not possible) behind.
If desired I would put the whole list in here(if another poor intern gets a similar job :-)).

I would have installed SMF and try on my own, but there are only one and a half day left till they need my workout and I have the same job concerning CMS,SiteAnalyses and SiteSearch tools.

PS:Sorry for my english:-)

These highlighted aren't part of SMF software I believe. However if there's a need for it there would be a mod made for it.

There are two bookmark mods with which you can save your favourite topics.
You can also subscribe/notify a topic so you get informed of updates to a particular topic.

Hello,
thanks a lot for your answer, I won´t have been able to gain this information in time without your help.
But not to get it wrong, you mean the bold type printed criteriums arent´t possible with with SMF, but the others are!?

The bold ones means it can be done. Mostly likely everything in that list can be done.

- sorting the threads -
subject, hits, replies, started by, last answerd by, starting date) : Core/SMF (Click columns to sort) or 'Custom Board Sort' mod (for extra functionality) http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=382

- printing a subject/threadlist - (Not in 1.1.X series, but I believe its in 2.0 [which is currently beta for charter members only])
If you can't wait for 2.0 you could request it in the mod requests forum

- add a topic to favourites (aka Bookmarks)
http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=350 (Bookmark Mod - see the mods topic for the latest versions)
or
http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=864 - Bookmark Mod

- API for control from outside-> user should be able to add their forums to a favouriteforum list
SSI allows the use of SSI
Examples can be found
http://www.writersmuster.com/ssi_examples.shtml

- evaluate answers/threads(maybe from helpful... not helpful)
There are Thanks Mods/Rate Topics mods
If its not exactly what you are after you could request it in the mod requests forum

- integration of an existing usermanagement
Through SSI or bridge/integration (more details needed of the existing user management for specifics required)

- proposing a new forum, just per one click-> input mask-> moderator get´s an e-mail(probably not possible, for real no one needs this but they wanted to know:-) )
No current feature for it, but again you could request a mod for it.
(personally on my forum, I have a suggestions forum which is useful as it can generate some much needed discussion on new forums, to help get them active)

Thanks a lot for efforts.
