Problems with Ajax in-post editor

I checked around and didn't see anyone else with this issue, so I'm starting a new thread, in hopes that it's not a repeat.

I'm suddenly having issues with the Ajax in-post editor.

Not the "Modify" editor, but the Ajax one, that resides within the post box.
When I click it, the "loading" strip appears at the top of the screen, but the editor never materializes.

Anyone else having this issue?

Thanks,
Tal

I found this thread, just now:

...and I'm trying this.
I just edited the Post.php, with the new info in this thread.

I'm waiting for a few minutes, to give the new Post.php time to cycle thru the server at the host.

Will update when I know if this has worked....

Ok...it's been 10 minutes...and nothing has changed.
Still the same behavior going on.

I'm attaching a copy of the original Post.php and a copy of the modified Post.php.

Can someone check this for me?

Thanks,
Tal

Ok...now I'm noticing problems with "fetching preview", when I've posted something and watch to check the preview before I post it.

I'm going to restore the original version of Post.php, and see if that clears that up.

Ok..."Preview" will work, if accessed from the "Quick Reply" box, but not from the full "Reply".
I'm not sure if that's because I restored the original Post.php or not....I didn't check the "preview" from the "Quick Reply" before I edited that file.

I've checked, and it looks like it was only a few days ago that this started happening. In that time, I installed a few new mods. So, I tried uninstalling them, and then attempted to use the "preview" from the regular "reply" box...but it still didn't work.

I also tried to use the Ajax in-post editor, and it didn't work either.

So....those two new mods don't seem to be the cause of the problem.

Well....I guess I'll just have to check with my host on this.
If we can eliminate the possibility of host problems, then I'll come back to this thread and see if I can get any replies.

Is this issue solved or do you still require assistance?
