Notify

Hello all,
I was wondering if there was a way to set this up so that an email is sent to each user with every post.
I have SMF set up for a small neighborhood watch program and the board gets stagnant because people aren't aware that someone has posted. I know that if they click on notify for each topic they will get an email but I was wondering if there was a way to have it so they get notified for every post without having to click the notify button.

I did  a search and read how to change the notify in the reset options area but this is only if someone posts and they get a reply to that post. Is there a way to notify each member that a post has been made, even a new post that was not made by them?

I just want to set it up so that anytime someone posts each user gets an email.

I don't think this is possible at the moment.

However SMF 2.0 has the mail digest function which will be able to send automatic regular newsletters featuring latest posts.

Aminero, if you find a forum that has that function please let me know.  I too have a need for that function.  Thanks.

H, does this seem like a difficult feature to create?  Would it be a mod or feature request?

A mod can always be requested if you find it useful. It just requires some time and someone who knows what code to add/change to do it

my forum does that any way for all new posts that is and i have smf with default theme... its in the settings some where .

correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't there a pre-set for new members wich will set notification automatic on ?
