post only in child boards mod request or how to?

Hi im looking for a way for users to have to post only in child boards of a particular board?
visit my catagorized wants and needs section and you will see why.

I want people to have to pick a category to post in.

Any help with a how to or a new or existing mod would be cool.

You can local board permissions to achieve this.

Admin / Permissions / Permissions by Board

This way you can disallow everyone from posting in that board.

Also, when no posts are in a board, SMF condenses the display of it a little bit, for non-admins. If you logout of your forum, you can see what I mean.
