Hello. I'm currently on YaBB SE 1.5.5 and about to convert my current board to SMF. But my quesiton is, will my design retain as what it is now on YaBB SE 1.5.5 when I convert it to SMF 1.0 RC2?

The option is given to you in the upgrader, yes.

We call moving from YaBB SE an upgrade, because it takes over your install of YaBB SE.  There is currently no converter available for YaBB SE.
