php open chat v. 3.0.2

Hello, I have just downloaded php open chat from http://phpopenchat.org/download.php, and it looks very promising. It is in php and that is where the problems lie for me. I am wondering how I would install it to the SMF forum, www.capabmx.com, or if I could set it to use the user database that my forum uses, thank you very much in advance for any information! Please let me know if I need to install it on my regular site first as a demo or something or if you need the code for any of the files, again thanks!
