1) Beware doing 'Mesothelioma' articles. Alot of Made-For-Adsense sites do that.  Google used to monitor to them quite closely because they 'used to be' quite high paying.  But cause alot of click fraud.

2) How long ago did you create your site?
It can take weeks to get spidered by google.  Have you tried submitting it to search engines?  It can't find it out of nowhere.
It can take many more weeks to get more and more pages indexed.

Are you being crawled at all? Search engines need to find your site before they can index it. The best way to be found is to have similar sites link to your site.

That raises a bigger question though: What is your special thing? What does your site do that makes it unique?

Right now, I see a website that looks like it is trying to be a medical news aggregator and currently has some articles up, including one on a rare cancer. Unfortunately, if you look around, there are hundreds of other sites doing the same thing and hoping to be noticed too. Against that competition, your site doesn't really have a chance to market generic stuff.

The question you need to ask is "What does my site do that makes it better than all the similar sites out there? What is my niche?". Once you figure this out, play up this specialty. Find other sites that might appreciate your specialness and will link to you as a resource. Once you establish a nice position you will be indexed and have rank. Then, from that strength, you can move to be popular with more general areas.

SEO may be all about the tricks to get you ranked better, but they are of no use if you are confused about your site's purpose and direction. If you want to get popular, you need to define yourself and your marketing.

I've been recently recommending against manual submission of websites. Some search engines (especially Google) seem to put manual submissions under a higher scrutiny than what is crawled naturally.

If you have the Google toolbar, make sure it is turned on and browse around your site. The toolbar will send your site URLs back to Google, and you'll get crawled in a few days usually.

Those mesothelioma ads used to pay $50 - $100 per click from what I read in years past.

It can take a year for Google to deep index a site.  It's going to depend on the type of incoming links there are.

Yahoo does a good job of indexing and sending traffic to my SMF forum.  Google doesn't.

^ yeah they did pay quite a bit.  But alot of people tried to take advantage of it and ended up getting banned.

Yahoo and Google spiders are very different in the way they work.

yahoo tends to hammer forums with an hour, then disappear for a week.
While Google seems to be constantly spidering.

MSNbot is retarded. It hardly spiders at all.

At one time I got OK traffic from MSN.  Now, five vistors per day usually.
