update topic time with an edit

In certain forums, I'd like the post time on the topic to be updated when the thread is edited (to the edit time) so that the topic is bumped to the top.  Is this possible without a modification?  I can't seem to find the setting for it.

Welcome to SMF.

This is not a built in feature in SMF. If you want to do that, files will be required to be edited.

I can move this over to the Mod Requests board if you like for a possible mod to be created for it.

Done. Give it some time. If someone knows how to do this and has the time, they will give you the code changes.
