General support topic for Aeva Media (Latest release: July 28, 2010)

At this time I m using Aeva 1.4b version. Is it latest version? or should I upgraded it with other one.

Uninstall Aeva 1.3a and install 1.4b directly. It is the way to go.

If you're getting the Line error in your admin log when creating new albums then using the v1.4b 30 Oct 2010 revision will fix it...

Normal maps are OK, but Streetview gives very poor quality. Worse than the original image on Google Maps.

Anyone willing to try this on your on forum?

The original link also starts with the same poor quality, but after a few seconds it gets updated with good quality.

Hello all, I have searched high and low and have come very close to an answer but no matter what i do, i can not get my "Media" menu button to span correctly.

Aeva 1.4b
Lots of other mods installed


Could someone reply with the proper code to use <li> <span> code for the menu button?

HunterP - I've looked at this a couple of times. Sometimes, the map doesn't load at all suggesting server problems rather than Aeva itself.

I had this happen recently when I couldn't get Youtube videos to load for three days but suddenly the problem cleared.

Aeva (1.4a) says this embed code is an un-supported site, and I can't seem to embed it in a post either.
How can I make this embed code work in a post or aeva album?
I also can't embed youtube videos in a post without removing everything before the source url in the embed code, why is this?
Will I have to upgrade to 1.4b to fix this?

If the site is unsupported then the link simply won't automatically embed but someone may know how to add it to that list.

Second problem : the whole idea is to post the URL itself. If you really want to embed html then you need to add the tags {html} {/html} but use [] instead of {}

Yes I would prefer being able to add support for the site in aeva.
I tried un-installing Aeva 1.4a and it gives me errors for the subs.php and permissions files continuing with the uninstall crashes the forum completely and I have to restore with a backup.

That could be because another mod is getting in the way. Easy to say it now but always worth noting in which order mods are installed.

What other mods do you have? Which version of SMF are you running? Maybe that could shine some light on the problem.

Ok, First of all, I honestly did do a search for this, but couldn't really find what I was looking for. Maybe I wasn't using the correct search words, idk.

Here's my question. We are using Aeva Media 2.03 on our forum as a "Member's Rides Gallery". All registered users get their own album. All good here.

However, we would like to make the menu button to read "Member's Rides" instead of "Media". Being rather new, but learning quickly, to this SMF stuff, where all do we need to change the text? If we could get the answer in the simplest form, that would greatly help our feeble minds grasp it better.  (At least list all the files we need to look under, please)

I recently installed Aeva Lite on my forum.
There is one problem though, it doesn't show up any button so one can add a for examina youtube video. There is no slot to put the code either.

What could be the problem? (I'm a noob)

   you don't need a button or code.

Paste the youtube url into the post window and submit the post.

if aeva is turned on in the admin, then the video will be pulled and embeded.
