I'm trying to add Mevio to the custom file and have a question. Is this the correct way to edit the code?

$sites[] = array(
'id' => 'Mevio',
'title' => 'Mevio',
'website' => 'http://www.mevio.com',
'type' => 'custom',
'added' => '5.2',
'pattern' => 'http://(?:www\.)?example\.com/video/([0-9a-z]{8})',
'movie' => 'http://www.example.com/player.swf?id=$2',
'size' => array(425, 344),
'show-link' => true,
'lookup-title' => '<title>(.*?)</title>',
'fix-html-pattern' => '<object [^>]*><param name="movie" value="$1">.*?</object>',
);

I do not understand what I should do with these two lines:

Quote'pattern' => 'http://(?:www\.)?example\.com/video/([0-9a-z]{8})',
   'movie' => 'http://www.example.com/player.swf?id=$2' [nofollow];,

Here is an example of their embed code:

<img style="visibility:hidden;width:0px;height:0px;" border=0 width=0 height=0 src="http://counters.gigya.com/wildfire/IMP/CXNID=2000002.0NXC/bT*xJmx*PTEyNTMzNjQ1MzUxMDkmcHQ9MTI1MzM2NDU1OTU2MiZwPTQ*MTQ*MiZkPSZnPTImbz1lNzQ2MzBmN2NiODg*ZThkYWI1OTE*MWQ3MjBlMGE1NiZvZj*w.gif" /><object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000"codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=9,0,0,0" width="600" height="336" id="MevioWM" align="middle"><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="never" /><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" /><param name="movie" value="http://ui.mevio.com/widgets/mwm/MevioWM.swf?r=33400 " /><param name="quality" value="high" /><param name="FlashVars"     value="distribConfig=http://www.mevio.com/widgets/configFiles/distribconfig_mwm_pcw_default.php?r=33400&autoPlay=false&container=false&rssFeed=/%3FsId=22444%26sMediaId=7235427%26format=json&playerIdleEnabled=false" /><param name="bgcolor" value="#000000" /> <embed src="http://ui.mevio.com/widgets/mwm/MevioWM.swf?r=33400 " quality="high" bgcolor="#000000"width="600" height="336" FlashVars="distribConfig=http://www.mevio.com/widgets/configFiles/distribconfig_mwm_pcw_default.php?r=33400&autoPlay=false&container=false&rssFeed=/%3FsId=22444%26sMediaId=7235427%26format=json&playerIdleEnabled=false"name="MevioWM"align="middle"allowScriptAccess="never"allowFullScreen="true"type="application/x-shockwave-flash"pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" /></object>

Hmm, I only have one other mod, and that is the SMF Gallery. Do you think this will be compatible with that one?

I am running 1.1.9

Nao, I think there's a small bug with SAPO video links:

If you post them, there's always this message saying you forgot to write something making impossible to submit the post. The only way I found to go around this is to post the link without the http part and inside a url tag. For example:

This DOESN'T work:
http://videos.sapo.pt/by8dKKPmHb033laG1MFs
[url]http://videos.sapo.pt/by8dKKPmHb033laG1MFs[/url]
videos.sapo.pt/by8dKKPmHb033laG1MFs

... but this WORKS:
[url]videos.sapo.pt/by8dKKPmHb033laG1MFs[/url]

Quite odd... I don't see any possible bug.
Are you using the very latest version?
I will not make any deals with you. I've resigned. I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered.

Yes, v6.9.101 and it was a "clean" install after removing the old AEVAC.

The real weird part is that it works if you remove the http:// part from the link while enclosing it in the url tags (and then if you edit that post afterwards it shows the link between the url tags with the http://... of course, if you try to save the post at that point it will no longer accept it... you have to delete manually the http:// from the link once again)

Hello Friends,

I am still using Auto Embed Video/Audio version 3.1.2 which was originally developed by Karl Benson. I tried to uninstall it but I encountered an error. How to manually uninstall version 3.1.2 so that I can install the latest version?

Thank you for your advice.

Nao,

Today with this link however it worked quite ok:
http://rd3.videos.sapo.pt/jjBzuQWavmRdCle3zIpQ

And even in this form:
http://videos.sapo.pt/jjBzuQWavmRdCle3zIpQ

However the other video still has that annoying issue. So it seems that some videos embed quite well, others don't... any ideas?

Hello, Nao!

Can you help me to integrate Bashtube to my SMF forum?

There are a link for example and an integration code for it.

bashtube.ru/video/52042/

<object id="single" height="322" width="400"><param value="http://bashtube.ru/xpl.swf" name="movie"></param><param value="high" name="quality" /><param value="file=http://bashtube.ru/video/52042/external.xml" name="flashvars"></param><embed type="application/x-shockwave-flash" src="http://bashtube.ru/xpl.swf" quality="high" allowfullscreen="true" flashvars="file=http://bashtube.ru/video/52042/external.xml" height="322" width="400"></embed></object>

@Paracelsus> Sorry, but I tried your link over at aeva.noisen.com and it worked without any trouble... I'm guessing there's some incompatibility on your server or something.

@humbleworld> You'll have to follow the manual uninstallation process. There's a topic somewhere on the support forums that explains how to do that. Make sure you have a copy of the Aevac package around...

@kapji> I don't do integrations anymore. Even for money. Totally lost interest in adding more crappy sites to Aeva I'm afraid. I should probably remove half of the existing sites as well. Just keep the good ones, the ones that weren't out to become the new YouTube with a lousy design, lol. Anyway-- you can do it yourself, doesn't seem to be hard. Once you get the hang of it, you'll be able to add more sites. Just study the sitelist and learn about regex.

SMF: v1.1.10
Aeva: v6.9.101

Nao, this is low-priority, so don't waste a lot of time on this...

I normally keep track of posts on my board via the Recent Posts page.  On that page, all the embedded vids display properly, and are aligned to the left.  However, when I actually go into a thread, the vids are centered in the post.  The Center BBC is not used, and I don't have the option in Aeva checked to center them.

Any quick ideas on how to get them un-centered?

Thanks!

Arantor

I believe it should work just fine with the SMF Gallery.

Arantor

So, what do you get in your server's error log?

Howdy I am very happy with Aeva 6.9.101
But now the you tube videos on my SMF forum that were 425 X 344 pixels are showing at 640 X 480 pixels and are rather fuzzy looking.
Is there anything I can do to get them to display at the default 425 X 344?
Cheers!

...and I would suggest that you stay away from WYSIWYG page editors such as Dreamweaver.
I used that for 10 years now without any problems. The coding window works excellent.

Obviously, you know the difference between the coding window and the WYSIWYG window. A lot of people don't, and (per instructions from here) blissfully type in PHP code that gets turned into static HTML display. That's why I tell the inexperienced to avoid such page editors.

In my custom template the avea copy throws a bar that is used for affiliate banners out of whack as seen in the attached image. I'd like to move it to the bar below that I use for all copyrights. Can this be done? I know it's done dynamically but dont know where and how. If you're ok with the move can you point me in the right direction?

Thx

neilbombd

Great mod!  How do I get it to stream ALL mp3 files, rather than just local ones?

Also, last.fm audio embeds never seem to connect, any ideas how to fix this?

Thanks.
