p tag in SMF 2.0

will the html <p> tag be recognised in SMF 2.0. I feel it is necessary.

What can you do with the p tag that you can't already do with bbcode?

Also keep in mind that admins can use any HTML tag they want - just put it in [html] tags ([html]...[/html]).
