Register multiple accounts under a single email?

Not to get into a lot of detail, the board me and a friend run relies on the ability for people to register multiple accounts under the same name. Unfortunately, not only did an update we installed make this impossible, but I've also been told the devs have no interest in changing this.

So, I was wondering if anyone in the modding community was planning on making a mod for this or if its even possible. It would be an enormous pain for us to switch board systems, but if we can't change this feature I don't know what else we can do.

The problem with this is that you can actually use your email as a login....

so any mod that does this would have to modify the login to remove that capability.... and such a mod might also mess up the "lost password" feature.

Indeed, its been stated before that any one of the accounts could potentially be accessed by anyone usign the same email address.

For most types of sites like RPGs there are alternatives such as the Personas mod.

For admins wanting to post as 'Forum Staff' rather than by their username,there is the admins can post as alternative user mod.
