What does it mean?

its a method of spam protection.

You can create a new account using the registration tool in the registration section of the admin panel.

You might also be able to clear the cache and cookies, and/or use another browser to accomplish the same.

Is there any way to disable it. I am currently moving a 3,000 Member + forum as we type and it is RP they have Multi Characters...

i forgot to mention too that they should also be able to re-register after 30 minutes.

i'm told the code for this is in Register.php --  but i haven't had the opportunity to check yet -- but i will do so when i get a bit more time

Did a quick check and it is in Subs-Members.php

Search the file for "register_only_once" and you'll find the following:

Koodi [Valitse] Laajenna


// Make sure they didn't just register with this session.
if (!empty($_SESSION['just_registered']) && empty($modSettings['disableRegisterCheck']))
fatal_lang_error('register_only_once', false);


Comment both the if line and the fatal_lang_error line. That should stop the error from popping up.
