Hello,

I am an administrator on a SMF-Powered forum.
Recently with our board growth We have been looking at ways to make permissions more sophisticated.

In one attempt I have tried to enable advanced by-board permissions, in this attempt i have failed and gotten this message:

Basically this is the only error the forum has ever encountered.
We are currently running 1.1.4 and have been running since 1.1.2

Our host is also one of our administrators and has pretty much babied the forum, He does not know what's up and is busy with other clients to look too deep into this ATM.

So if anyone can identify the problem it would be much appreciated.  :)

Under the detailed view via forum maintenance, All of the files are up to date.
I also remember reading a post having similar problems and a support member stating that there was no database changes from 1.1.2 to the current.. or something like that.  :P

These seem to be a little tricky to fix. Does it mention what table has the duplicate entry? Did you try repairing the database?

All it reports is:

LainaaDuplicate entry '0-20-modify_own' for key 1
File: /hsphere/local/home/superfly/beercandleforums.com/Sources/ManagePermissions.php
Line: 978

Note: It appears that your database may require an upgrade. Your forum's files are currently at version SMF 1.1.4, while your database is at version 1.1.2. The above error might possibly go away if you execute the latest version of upgrade.php.

and repairing database reports:
LainaaCongratulations, no errors found! Thanks for checking.

Thank you for your response!! :)

It looks like it could be coming from the smf_board_permissions table. You didn't try repairing the database from phpMyAdmin right? Go into phpMyAdmin and then choose your database. Now on the right window, check the box/entry for the smf_board_permissions table. Scroll all the way down and in the With selected drop down, choose Repair table.

Well... nope,  :-[

The table's been repaired and the error still persists.

Go back to phpMyAdmin and click on your database. Then on the right hand window, click on the Export tab on top. Under the Export section, just select the smf_board_permissions entry. Then at the bottom (scroll down), hit the Go button. It should display the table entries now. Copy and paste all the data in that window here (you may enclose it in the CODE tags here):
