Upgrade from 1.0.8 to 1.1.4 - slower?

We recently upgraded to 1.1.4 and some of the users complained that it seemed to be slower.  Do you need more information about our setup or is there some general knowledge about this?  Bug, feature, etc.?

(We had to roll back to 1.0.8 for other reasons and hope to re-upgrade again real soon, but it would be nice to know if there are other people who see, or don't see, the speed decrease)

Shouldn't be, no real changes just security issues patched really.

Ben, it is 1.0 to 1.1, there were a bit more than security issues in that.

Well, 1.1 does have more features in it, but the developers worked hard to optimize the code and even try to speed it up. On the one forum I manage that was running 1.0, there was no noticeable speed decrease when I did the upgrade to 1.1 on it.
