Lo-fi version integration

 I compared paying software forums with SMF to see what they could offer that SMF doesn't and didn't find much except one great feature that SMF could easily have.
When I search the web I offently land in Lo-Fi pages from forums powered by some paying forum softwares. Their forums also have much more pages indexed by Google compared to others.
There is an easy way to do that with our SMF wap pages but they are not being used by default. I managed to place links in all pages to each of them in full or lo-fi version with the help of the Pretty URLs mod but I don't think it's possible to do the same with the default URLs.
So my question is why hasn't this be done? I don't think there would be anything wrong to have 2 versions of our forums.
