update RC 3 1.1 to 1.1.4

Ok, my friend is using a fairly outdated RC 3 forum and wants to upgrade to 1.1.4 I tried the update package but doesn't work they want to move it to there current host cause there going to be canceling that one they have a fair amount of posts whats the best way about going with this

First of all you need the large 1.1.4 upgrade package and not the update one. What errors did you get? And is your friend going to change hosts?

How did you try to do the upgrade, through the package manager then? And did your friend change hosts or is going to?

Package manager, and has changed host waiting for move

You can not perform an upgrade like that Miles, I thought you should have known that by now. Anyway, you must upgrade manually. Have a look at this link for more info

yes, you cannot do an upgrade from an RC version via the package manager.   You must use the large upgrade package from the downloads page
