unable to load main_above template after move to new directory

First, I'm using Joomla 1.0.12 Stable, SMF 1.1.2, and the JSMF Bridge... though that's not the problem.

I moved my site from one directory to a sub-directory.  It was hxxp:neopetsmadeeasy.com [nonactive] and now it's hxxp:neopetsmadeeasy.byethost11.com [nonactive]

After the move, which still uses the same server and database, I just had to change the settings for the new directory - which I was doing in the database as it wasn't working otherwise.

I got the site up, I got the forums up - but there was a link on the forums to return to the main site (as it's not wrapped)  so using SmartFTP on ASCII mode, I downloaded the index.template.php file to change the link as that's where I put it.  When I made the changes and uploaded the file, I started getting this error:

Unable to load the 'main_above' template.

The only thing I did was change that one link.  I'm using the UseBB Port by Gaia but I can't get that template again, so I need to know how to change the template back to a different one using my database (phpMyAdmin) to do so.  I have also ran repair_settings.php which did locate some directories that were incorrect, but it did nothing to help with this issue.

It's not the bridge or joomla that's causing the problem, it's the settings in SMF that are now targeting the wrong template and that's what I need to know, how to change my template back to a different one (and I can't use default because that template IS my default)

here's a cached version of the forums (of course css and images aren't working anymore because of the directory move, but it gives some idea)
hxxp:72.14.205.104/search?q=cache:L9mrBFdGAqAJ:neopetsmadeeasy.com/component/option,com_smf/Itemid,464/+site:neopetsmadeeasy.com+neopets+made+easy+forums&hl=en&ct=clnk&cd=15&gl=us&client=firefox-a [nonactive]

and here's where it is now:

hxxp:neopetsmadeeasy.byethost11.com/component/option,com_smf/Itemid,464/ [nonactive]
or
hxxp:neopetsmadeeasy.byethost11.com/smf/index.php [nonactive]

Please help! My stats are plummeting due to the recent move, though my site is up... I hate not having my forums up as that's how I allow new registrations to NME

What editor did you use to modify the file?
