This may be the wrong place to post this, I just was not sure where to post it, this is my 1st time here.

I post on 3 or 4 different Simple Machines boards, have been for quite some time.

I read on FAQ that PM's were private, just between the one who sends a PM and the one who they PM.

A friend of mine has been showed a PM that he sent a friend by the board owner, and the friend who he sent it to says he did not pass this PM on to the owner of the board.

This highly concerns me, only because of this.

By default, there is no way an administrator or anyone else can read your personal messages. Only you and the person you sent it to are able to read what you wrote. However, it is not impossible for one with access to the database of the forum to read them through the database with a SQL command. For this reason, it is advised to not send personal messages that contain private information that you don't wish for anyone else to read.

Thanks for any help with this.

Yes, everything you read in there is correct. Anyone that has access to your database can read all the pm''s.
