experimental forum

I wanted to know if any one has setup an experimental forum? The reason is that I have SMF on my web site and it's being used every day and I want to change the themes and looks however I don't want to crash it while I'm learning any ideas? thanks

get a free host that allows forums.

has PHP safe mode off too.

There was a member in the Hostings section who offered those type of forums, for people to test and work out stuff for SMF.  Try giving that section a look.

Tho I find it easier to operate a local home server for experimentation.  It's quite easy to do on Windows even, and saves a massive amount of time and effort in FTP traffic/time.

You can probably just make another folder on your current host and install SMF there. Just be sure to use a new database to install SMF into.
