can anybody help me please?

i have a problem with the smf shoutbox that i uploaded from here,  unfortunately me or my other admin cant see the smileys that we or anybody else sends in the shoutbox,  all that we can see is x's ...  does anybody know what is causing this?

i have posted in the mod section but i havent had a reply,  i am using smf shoutbox v1.16b
all of my smileys are x's?  sad...     could you help me please?

Is it shows x's it probably means there's either a directory setting wrong on the mod or the smilies aren't where they should be.

how could i change either of those,  and how?
